What we do //

“When veterans separate from their military life, they often find themselves alone. The structure and their network are suddenly gone. The CCF aims to reconnect veterans, support older veterans and direct them to needed assistance.”

Director

Caring for members

If you are a former or serving member of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals, or close relative, the Certa Cito Foundation is here for you in the good times and when the going gets tough.

Many people experience hardship and often look to those closest for help. Caring for RA Sigs and their families is the core of our mission and we are building a strong and united community to ensure support is available when our members need it most and to ensure we are there to support our Signals community to prevent people from hardship.

Our activities are focused in three main streams:
  • coordinating welfare support where there is a need — through partnerships with leading service providers;
  • smoothing the transition to civilian life by facilitating networking and peer support; and
  • fostering scholarship and excellence — through mentoring, scholarships and awards, particularly for our children and members making the transition to civilian life.

We work closely with other organisations, charities and service providers to ensure our members can access the support and assistance they need. We have established partnership agreements with key strategic partners:

Connection our members

If you’ve lost touch, now is the ideal time to reconnect with the Signals community as we ramp up for our Centenary celebrations in 2025. Thousands of Australians have an interest in and connection with the Royal Australian Corps of Signals, and it is our aim to connect them through our alumni chapters, events and networks around the country and we work in partnership with existing State and Unit Signals Associations. We encourage members to establish and support local chapters and get together via a program of activities, meetings and events. If you are a former or serving member, family, or have an association with the Signals Community join us now and we will put you in touch with a chapter near you.

Commemorating our Signallers

Signallers were as crucial in the battlefields of World War One as they are today. As technology experts, they provide lifesaving and battle-winning communications and information systems to every part of the Army and Joint Force.

In 2025 the Royal Australian Corps of Signals will celebrate 100 years of service with a year-long program of activities. The celebrations will culminate with a national activity in November 2024 and there are local events being planned around the country throughout 2025.

Commemorating our heritage and building excitement and momentum for the centenary in 2025 is one of the most important ways the Foundation is working to build connections and awareness of the vital role our Defence community plays in Australia’s safety.

Stay tuned for all the details and don’t miss the opportunity to be a sponsor and help wave the flag for Signallers past, present and future.

Like our motto, Swift and Sure, our commitment to trust, loyalty and respect remains steadfast — always. Be part of our Signals community and help us care, connect and commemorate.
